Gerald V. Padilla is a senior shareholder in Siemion Huckabay. He was admitted to the Michigan bar in 1974. Mr. Padilla focuses his practice on the defense of product liability actions, premises liability, toxic tort litigation, medical malpractice, automobile negligence and insurance policy coverage actions. He is an instrument rated pilot, and is the current President of the Aviation Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Padilla is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of Michigan, as well as the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan.
Mr. Padilla received his undergraduate education from the University of Detroit, and received his B.A. in 1971. In 1974, he earned his J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law. Mr. Padilla began his legal career as an Assistant Attorney General with the Michigan Attorney General. In 1978, he left the Michigan Attorney General to take a position as a trial attorney with the firm of McCauley & Halpin. In 1980, joined the law firm of Plunkett, Cooney, Rutt, Watters, Stanczyk & Pedersen. In 1981, he resigned from Plunkett, Cooney to become a founding member of Siemion Huckabay.
